The OXY project represents a major transformation of Brussels’ city center, involving the complete renovation of the Anspach Tower, an emblematic building located near the city’s main urban axes. This intervention is part of a broader ambition to revitalize the architectural and functional fabric of the district, by reimagining an existing building and giving it a new, more contemporary, sustainable and city-oriented life. The project proposes a mixed-use redevelopment, combining modern office spaces, activity zones and redesigned public areas to strengthen the relationship between the building and its urban surroundings. The project is led by Snøhetta and BINST Architecture, in collaboration with the Belgian firms ADE and DDS+, on behalf of real estate developers Whitewood and Immobel.
In this new video, the focus shifts to the residential and hotel components of the OXY project. Architect Nicolas Lejeune, project leader at ADE, shares insights into the architectural vision and design strategies developed by the office for these parts of the building. ADE is responsible for shaping living and hospitality spaces that respond to contemporary urban lifestyles, while ensuring coherence with the overall identity of the project. Through this interview, the video highlights the complexity of a mixed-use renovation of this scale and sheds light on the role of architecture in creating comfortable, sustainable and high-quality spaces at the heart of Brussels.
