Over the course of a week, Mister Emma followed Belgian architect Jean Dethier in the footsteps of this type of construction, which is now enjoying a new lease of life. These study days were organized as part of a study trip by ETH Zürich, and more specifically by the university chair of Professor and world-renowned architect Roger Boltshauser.
Accompanied by ETH students, Emma turned the microphone over to the experts who enriched this extraordinary journey: Jean Dethier (Architect-urban planner, cultural mediator for raw earth architecture, curator of exhibitions at the Centre Pompidou, Paris), Roger Botshauser (Director, Boltshauser Architekten, Zürich und München + Architect and Professor, ETH Zürich – Studio Boltshauser – Department Architecture D-ARCH), Felix Hilgert (Director, LEHMAG AG and Research Scientist, Studio Boltshauser, Department Architektur D-ARCH), Emmanuel Mille (Heritage Architect and Researcher at the CRAterre Laboratory), Zoé Tric (Architect, Researcher and Raw Earth Trainer, amàco), Hana Samet (Architect, NTSA Agency), Milena Stefanova (Architect and Designer, Agency « Design & Architecture »), Marie and Keith Zawistowski (Architects, onSITE Architecture and Professor, ENSAG / CraTerre), Clément Vergély (Architect, Clément Vergély architectes), Nicolas Meunier (Craftsman, Le Pisé).
